Experience Marsa Matrouh


Matrouh Governorate is situated in the northwest of Egypt it is known as Marsa Matrouh Governorate. In the West, it shares a large part of its border with Libya. While in the south it is bordered by the New Valley Governorate. Alexandria and Lake Governorates share borders with Matrouh on the eastern side. The northern side of this province is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea.


Matrouh is characterized by a low population percentage and this is due to the large desert part that controlled it. The local population depends on camel and cattle breeding, olive and fig cultivation, as well as trade.
 
Matrouh weather is magical because it is mild and does not carry moisture, which makes you spend your day enjoying without complaining about bad weather like some other countries.


Marsa Matruh is distinguished by its diversity in its tourism, it is famous for the many distinctive beaches, and the pleasure of the desert is famous for the Siwa Oasis, which attracts many tourists as it is a medical tourism because it has a lake with sulfur water to treat bones and some skin problems, also, you can spend a dedicated day with it and practice a sport Yoga and meditation to get rid of the stresses of life and the hustle and bustle of the city.


Marsa Matrouh: Places to Visit


1- Cleopatra’s Beach


Beach From the charming beaches of Matrouh, Cleopatra Beach is located 14 km northwest of Morsi Matruh. It is characterized by the wonderful rock formations and the bright color of the seawater which is worth contemplating. You can visit the Cleopatra bath, which is flooded with sea waves. Legends say it is the queen's bath, which she used to enjoy swimming in.


2- Shaati Al Gharam


Shaati Al Gharam is known as the lover’s beach, it is located to the west of Morsi Matruh, the sand there are few compared to other beaches. You can enjoy floating and photographing especially at the rock of Lily Murad, which was named after this name attributed to Lily Murad, who filmed a movie while she was sitting on it.


3- Ajeba Beach


Ajiba Beach is located 24 km west of Morsi Matruh, it is a small bay that can be accessed through only one path that leads down. Enjoy taking pictures and look at the amazing color of turquoise water. Note that this beach is not suitable for children and swimming because the water in it circulates as fast as whirlpools and pulls inside. The best thing to do there is to enjoy taking the most beautiful pictures with family or friends and eating snacks in restaurants and cafes that are on a wonderful beach.


4- Rommel Beach


On the edge of the eastern Marsa Matruh peninsula, this tranquil rocky beach piece is good for swimming. Just before the shore is a system of caves where Colonel Rommel planned the military operations of the Axis forces during World War II. The caves are now home to the Rommel Cave Museum.


5- Lido Beach


Lido Beach is one of the main beaches of Marsa Matrouh, suitable for swimming because it enjoys soft and calm water suitable for adults and children because it is also not deep.
